intro

I see from a recent message that I should introduce myself since I joined this
list just last week.  I'll see if I can keep up with the volume of
correspondance!
I'm a philosophy prof at Reed C. in Portland, OR, where I've been the
"continentalist" for over thirty years.  In fact I probably have some former
students out there on this list -- ? (Reed turns out lots of profs, and other
"intellectuals".)  Only in the last year have I got Internetted; and right now
I'm on sabbatical so I have some time to explore, or play, or whatever. Nice to
be with you (for a while, at least).
