David's suggestions are useful. I didn't think to mention works of
Foucault's own, but <<Il faut defendre la societe>>, the 1975-76 lecture
course (Gallimard/La Seuil, 1997) has some important discussions which build
on the final chapter of The History of Sexuality, I. This lecture course is
obviously related to the material that would have comprised Races and
Populations, the projected sixth volume of the Hist of Sex, original plan.
