Daniel Defert, Foucault's literary executor, speaks in this article about
the decisions made regarding the publication of Foucault's papers. Starting
with the decision to collect the previously published but hard to find
articles and interviews, which were finally published in Dits et Ecrits, to
the decision to publish the recorded lectures from the College which is
still under way, to the collections at IMEC and the manuscripts given to
the library of the Sorbone, concluding with the decision, which may not be
final, not to release the manuscript of Aveux de la chaire. Read the article
