Aaron,

an interesting take on 1984 is to be found in Lyotard's book "The
Postmodern explained to Children", in a piece called "A Gloss on
Resistance". I haven't thought about it in relation to Foucault, but
you should find it useful. He deals with the idea of bodies there,
which does have resonances with Foucault.

Here's to the memory of Jean Francois Lyotard, who died last week. I
have been wondering if he died in a way "commensurate with his
conception of death.

cheers
Jon
