Theory.org.uk update

Hello,

This is an update about http://www.theory.org.uk, the
website with resources on media, gender, identity, web
cultures, Foucault, queer theory, media influences,
critical theory, and more.

* Foucault's Paris, the award-winning illustrated
tourist guide, has been radically updated. I went
there last month and took lots of photos, talked to
French people, asked where the Foucault gift shop
was, etc. It's all here.

* The random module generator, which suggests random
media/communications courses, has had its vocabulary
expanded so that it now has an even more vivid
imagination. Universities will never be the same again.

* There's a new illustrated guide to websites about... the
web itself, and related social and cultural issues, in the
'Web Cultures' section.

* A new essay on men's magazines, by Joe Sharples, appears
in the 'Role Models' section.

* A new essay on the internet and identity, by Dan Littler,
appears in the 'Web Cultures' section.

* A new page on URL graffitti!

* Some new cultural studies (and other) book reviews!

All this stuff, and more, has appeared in the last month or so.

If you'd like to be helpful, it would be great if
you could pass on news of the site to friends, students,
colleagues or e-mail lists.

Best wishes,

David
