This book (Stoler) trades on Foucault's lecture course at the College de =
France, Il faut defendre la societe (Gallimard/Seuil, 1997), so that =
would be worth looking at too.

As an addition to what I said in the earlier post, and what others have =
mentioned, you might also find something of worth in the work of Stephen =
Greenblatt and other new historicists. David Theo Goldberg, Racism may =
also provide some insights.

The links between space and power are clearly central - that's one of =
the reasons i think Said is so good. He's one of the few to my mind that =
productively takes forward Foucault's writing of spatial histories.
