As I know the situation, Anthony Pugh was preparing a translation of the
complete work. There was a collection of essays that had appeared in History
of the Human Sciences in 1990, published as Arthur Still & Irving Velody
(eds), Rewriting the History of Madness: Studies in Foucault's Histoire de
la folie, London, Routledge, 1992. I think Pugh was mentioned as the
translator then. But that was seven years ago. Surely there is a market for
this, as Colin Gordon describes it in the article that gave the book its
impetus, Histoire de la folie is an 'unknown book by Michel Foucault'.
By the way, a departmental working paper i wrote a few years ago that
touches on much of this is available via following address:-
