Take a look at 'The Masked Philosopher,' an interview
MF originally did 'anonymously' with a major French
magazine. I want to say it was LNO, but don't recall
off hand. You can find it in in Foucault Live.
MF discusses the logic of the interview in terms of the
privelaged speaking position of the philosopher, the
intellectual signature of the official intellectual, and the
strange discursive space of popular philosophy.
His discussion on justice with a Maoist in P/K also
has a lot to say about the collaborative process of
directing a line of inquiry.
