If i remember correctly, in _Electronic_Eye_ Davis Lyon
relies significantly upon _Discipline_and_Punish_ and Foucault's use of the
panapticon in his discuaaion of electronic databases and surveillence
systems. Along similar lines you may wish to check out Mark Poster's
chapter on Foucault and Databases in _Mode_of_Information_.
