Regarding foucault and agency, it might be useful to take a look at his
interviews before his death. I believe we have to look at the whole *ouevre
before deciding that he has "no theory of agency". his description of
"technologies of self" inthe volume of that title, ed. by Mrtin, Gutman, and
Hutton was/is useful to me...
