Re: structural v. nietzschean genealogy

The question is whether Foucault's genealogy is ultimately any less gray.
Both Nietzsche and Foucault use genealogy to establish a negative historical
procession which supports their respective anthropologies of creative
individualism (for lack of a better term). Whether escaping the
atrophication of the will or in resisting the disciplinary powers, the
consummation of genealogy is: "to treat one's life as if it is a work of art."
