Subject: Passage request...

Hi list readers--I'm posting this note hoping that someone might be able
to h*lp me locate the source of a F. passage I once read somewhere....
What I was trying to find says something to the effect of: "...We are
not living at the 'end of the social' or in the mist of an 'absolute
power' [etc., etc.] but in a certain time like any other, with its
specific problems and successes," etc.... I read this some time ago, so
I'm certain that my paraphrase is a very off, but if this general
statement seems familiar to anyone, I'd greatly appreciate being
informed of its whereabouts! (I'm pretty sure it's in a transcription of
a lecture or in an interview?) Thanks in advance, --Brett
