100 YEARS OF CRUELTY: ANTONIN ARTAUD CONFERENCE
13-15th September
Critically engaging with the ideas of Antonin Atraud, 100
YEARS OF CRUELTY celebrates the centennary of his birth
and reflects on Artaud as a catalyst whose influence on
artistic and intellectual practice has been no less than
revolutionary. This multimedia, interdisciplinary event
will explore the remnants, resonances and traces of Artaud
in an event which situates Artaud not just as a unique and
irrecuperable voice of the 20th century, but as an agent
provocateur at the gateway to the new millennium.
