foucault, specific intellectuals, wittgenstein

Hi all

some time ago, there was a discussion about the specific intellectual.
While what was written I did find helpful, I was wondering about
pursuing it in another direction.

Has anyone ideas about what a specific intellectual might look like,
what kind of specifics would be dealt with. I know that Gramsci,
Oppenheimer, Darwin etc were talked about, but what about now? Has
anyone actually pursued this mode of discourse that anyone knows of?

I see perhaps a link here with Wittgenstein, who was interested in
philosophy as an activity for uncovering the problems inherent in our
use of language. Perhaps a SI might fit in here?

I look forward to anyone's thoughts.
