I certainly hope that in light of Professor Knoblock's careful and
entirely convincing discussion of Foucault's last years, the person
who posted the "vicious libel" will acknowledge his error and apologize
not only to this list but to the memory of Foucault. The invasion of
tabloid-style thinking seems to have hit even putative academics.
