MK| all, a Nazi ... but he was also gentle, *and* a Nazi. A violent stillness,

I've not the German text of 'Die Kehre' at hand, but in 'Die Frage nach der
Technik' I read 'Die Freiheit verwaltet das Freie im Sinne des Gelichteten, d.h.
des Entborgenen. Das geschehnis des Entbergens, d.h. des Wahrheit, ist es, zu dem
die Freiheit in der naechsten und innigste Verwantschaft steht...Die Freiheit
ist dat lichtend Verbergende, in dessen Lichtung jener Schlieier weht, der das
Wesende aller Wahrheit verhuellt und den Schleier als den verhuellenden
erscheinen laeszt.' (Freedom governs the free in the sense of the cleared, i.e.
the unhidden. It's the history of unhidding, i.e. of the truth, to which
freedom has the most intimate relation...Freedom is that which hides while
clearing, in who's clearing the veil blows, which covers the being of all truth
and makes the veil appear as that which covers.)
The problem I have with the 'lightning-flash' is that it doesn't seem to take
part in the hiding-revaeling game of being.
