In addition to the two sources William recommends, Another good secondary
source on The Order of things is Gary Gutting's

"Michel Foucault's Archeology of Scientific Reason". Cambridge University
Press, 1989. - esp.
pp.128-236.

Particularly because this book makes some sound links between Madness and
Civilization and The Order of things.
