Hello,

This isn't directly about Foucault, but my interest
in Foucault is strongly connected to my interests
in self, identity, and gender, and I know I'm not
the only one, so.....

At Theory.org.uk - http://www.theory.org.uk - the website
of resources on media, gender and identity, we have just
published several brand-new pages as follows:

WHOLE NEW SECTION ON
ANTHONY GIDDENS, MODERNITY AND SELF-IDENTITY

-- Often overlooked as a theorist in this area, Giddens
has many interesting ideas about how people construct
an identity in late-modern societies, using tools
provided by culture. It's an interesting contribution
to gender studies, although gender studies probably
doesn't think about Giddens too often. Check it out!
Several all-new pages here!

NEW ESSAYS ON MEDIA AND IDENTITY

-- Should gay media culture try to cultivate a universal
sense of gay identity?

-- Are contemporary men's magazines going to turn men into
sexist pigs?

THE COMPLETE SET OF TRADING CARDS

-- Finally weighing in at 12 collectable cards, the
series which took the internet by storm is now
available as a complete set of essential reference
cards on media, gender and identity.

MANY MORE RESOURCES

-- On Foucault, queer theory, identity, gender and media,
and more!

Please forward this message to other relevant lists
-- thank you so much.

Best wishes,
