NOt really, not yet- I'm still reading the man himself , but my study was
prompted by the multitudinous references to Foucault re. power in feminist
theory and queer theory, which I think boils down to this: if, as Foucault
proposes, power is interactive and relational and productive rather than
simply cumulative and repressive, then the basic paradox of feminism (women
are oppressed and powerless/women have the power to fight oppression and
powerlessness) is unraveled and, despite Foucault's treatment or lack
thereof of individual agency, oppressed classes, indeed any subject, can act
with intentionality and effect change. Or something like that.
