The was a piece by Jack Amariglio on Foucault and economic discourse
that appeared some time ago. The reference would be available from the
AESA bibliography on http://www.rethinkingmarxism.org - but I think his
article also drew heavily on Keith Tribe's work if I remember
correctly.
