It may be useful to look at David Theo Goldberg's book _Racist Culture: Philosophy and the Politics of Meaning_ (Basil Blackwell, 1993). He essentially carries out an analysis similar to what you are interested in doing for race. He does a very good job of applying Foucault's work in _The Archaeology of Knowledge_ and makes a deep analysis based thereupon. I think that Goldberg's method can be applied beyond race.
