In an interview entitled "Truth and Power," Foucault says that power is not
simply a negative, that if it were, no one would obey it. Power also
produces and what is interesting is the locations and specifics of this
production. "Truth and Power" appears in _Power/Knowledge: Selected
Interviews & Other Writings_, edited by Colin Gordon (Pantheon 1980). This
collection also includes Foucault's "Two Lecturers" which helps explain his
methodology.
