I am an undergraduate student at Melbourne Uni and am just embarking on a
semester course which concentrates on Habermas and his conception of the
'unfinished' project of modernity.
I was wondering if anyone familiar with Habermas would please clarify the
particular points upon which he comes into conflict with Foucault (as I
can see many instances where they seem quite compatible - except perhaps
with an agonistic type of communication which is implied with Foucault's
'power/knowledge', but also perhaps denied in F's later works where power
is more like the 'unthought' (Heidegger).
Can anyone help (perhaps this message makes no sense... I'm just a
beginner in this!)
Rgds to all...
