I wanted to see if I was in agreement w/ Foucault's critique of Derrida =
(predominanty in "my body...." and _Archaeology_)
Is it that 1) deconstruction reinscribes the same origins it =
attempts to move away from with things like the trace, differance, =
archi-writing, etc.. and 2) deconstruction ignores the specific cultural =
and historical sites and struggles that constitute such origins =
deconstruction aims its criticism at? In other words, geneology focuses =
on how origins are formed and thus opens spaces for resistance to those =
formations, whereas deconstruction at best replicates metaphysical =
origins through notions of the trace, etc..

thanks
Loren
