<P>You could take a look at the works of Edward Said, Gayatri Spivak, Franz Fanon or homi bhabha.&nbsp; A good starting point is Bill Ashcroft's <STRONG><EM>The Empire Writes Back, </EM></STRONG>who also edited the <STRONG><EM>The Postcolonial Studies Reader, </EM></STRONG>which also includes essays by the authors mentioned above including Spivak's landmark essay "Can the Subaltern Speak?"</P>
