I do not have Birth of the Clinic in front of me. Is it a person named
Guardia or a work by, Gloria Fuertes, Poeta de guardia in Obras incompletes
(Cátedra)
I think this translates to "Poetry of Guardia in Works Incomplete". Just a guess.
If I have the translation correct, perhaps this is the Guardia.

At the end of Birth of the Clinic, there is an allusion to one 'Guardia':
"health replaces salvation, said Guardia."
Anyone know who this guy is? Googling isn't working for me, due to the
ubiquity of the name.
