Hi Jacqui,
Further to your question regarding Foucault on the event, see also
Foucault's essay on Deleuze, 'Theatrum Philosophicum' (vol. 2 of the
Essential Works).
Interestingly, James Faubion, in his introduction to this volume, argues for
a close link between the conception of the 'event of thought' in the essay
on Deleuze and the conception of 'problematization' introduced in The Use of
Pleasure.

Hi Jacqui,
Foucault speaks directly about the event (in terms of 'eventualisation')
in
two pieces I know of, both from 1978:
- 'What is Critique?', in John Schmidt (ed.) _What is Enlightenment?:
Eighteenth-Century Questions and Twentieth-Century Answers_ (especially
392-8)
- 'Questions of Method', in James D Faubion (ed.) _Power: Essential Works
of
Foucault, Volume 3_ (especially p.226-9)
The first is a lecture and the second is an interview. Hope this helps.
Regards,
Nick
