I am researching education for children and youth with learning difficulty/intellectual disability. I find the concept of pastoral power very useful in understanding the ways in which an intellectually disabled is constructed as a problem for the education system. I would be grateful for guidance as to good discussions of pastoral power, both in Foucault himself and critical commentary.
