Although I'm sure it matters to some degree which "list" you
solicit for commentary on the question of whiteness, one
can't ignore the "presence" of the logos- and with it, the
name, a mode of presence cleverly schematized by the
"disciplinary matrix" of hte internet, as someone on this
list once wrote - a mode whose function mandates teh
presence of the name, and hence, the signification of teh
speaking "voice." If you're looking for the invisible on
the internet, you won't find it. All of the addresses you
see are signs of visibility - educational addressses here,
business addresses there, governmental addresses, and
"online service" addresses. From these emanances, the white
voice speaks. The "invisible" are the cyber-homeless.
