The strict point of the Archeology, indeed, is that 'savoir' is 'préalable' or constitutive in soms hisrorical transcendental way; it is the way in which a field or domain is organised. This cannot be identified ot confused with the positive knowledge ('connaissance') of a science, not even with its proto-knowledge.
