And after he understood he must work on the Greek and Latin world influenced by Paul Veyne. So he decided to published his work chronologically: l'usage des plaisirs, le soucis de soi (linked to Greek and Latin world) and then les aveux de la chair (linked to christian age). But he died before he had finished to alter this last book.
And yes he express injunction against posthumorous publications. Pierre Nora in Eribon's book talk about a letter written before his illness.
But about your third question I have no idea. he talks a lot about christian pastoral in his class at the college de france : Sécurité, territoire, population. and probably in other books...

According to Foucault moderation would make the list
more productive, so
it would produce a lot more of the same, but I think
it would be a lot
less inventive and inspirational. And I think that
it's not a smart move
to ask for surveillance as soon as something out of
the ordinary
happens. The fear for deviance is not something we
should cultivate.
