Given their "Frenchness", I wonder whether there was ever much
utilization of post-structuralist theory to think about the politics
of the fashion industry in relation to the female body? Considering
their proximity to the capital of the fashion world, it seems
surprising to me few of them (if any) commented extensively on the
impact this industry has on contemporary culture.
