Re: [Foucault-L] Les rapports de pouvoir passent à l'intérieur des corps

Is 'des corps' plural or singular? Excuse my ignorance of French. English translations drop the definite article 'the' from plurals, unless 'the bodies' are a specific group of bodies (which they almost never are in Foucault). It is common to read in English translations of Foucault phrases such as "...through the interior of bodies".

I'm sure there will be someone much more knowledgeable who can answer this question.

Regards

Tony

where does the quote come from?

maybe
power relations "pass through the interior" of the body
or
power relations "instersect within" the body
