You should consider that French history of science has roots deep inside=
phenomenological criticism of transcedental subject and its object. For=
instance, the way Jean Cavaill=E8s dealt with some problems posed by Wien=
Circle on maths. He has been absolutely seminal to Bachelard, Koyr=E8 and=
Canguilhem regarding the "rejection of the subject-object-scheme". Roberto=
Machado wrote an interesting book on Foucault's relationship with Georges=
Canguilhem and Gaston Bachelard, where the whole French historical=
enterprise concerning the problem of knowledge is reviewed to analyse the=
archeological period (this book:late 80's, available in French or=
Portuguese I guess). I think that Nietzsche has to be examined also, not=
only because of his prior criticism of the subject but particularly because=
of his late theory on perspectivism, which has to be considered seriously=
regarding the study of science and epistemology.
Anyway, the connection you propose is a good way to pose the problem.
