I agree and would like to add that the possibility of relative freedom
and free individual choice between alternatives increases when one
becomes aware of the system and begins to understand it. This can be
done by study as F. did himself.

For instance the link between the Sartrean objectifying gaze and
Foucault's power of judgement and investigation of antecedents.
