[Foucault-L] Comparison between Discourse and Memes

Hello,

I'm looking for information about how discourses replicate.

I think memetic theory provides some insight into the reproduction of
discourses. I would like to know if there is some sources where I can
look into this further.

Can memes be interpreted in the categories used in Archeology of
knowledge? Is a meme a 'statement' or it is a 'discourse'?

I have a feeling that there might be some use into looking at
discourses in terms of fitness and I just wonder if anyone knows where
I can begin looking to see if this feeling holds any water.

Thank you in advance,
Sam
