I can find neither reference nor resonance with Alice in Wonderland, white rabbits, mad hatters, Lewis Carroll, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, etc., in La volonté de savoir. Do you have specific examples?
And Alan Sheridan is hardly the best translator of Foucault (p. 10 in This is Not a Pipe - just see the many discussions of problems of translation discussed on this list).
